The Falcons began their Week 7 preparations with several players listed on the injury report, featuring a mix of rest days and lingering issues. The most notable absences from Wednesday’s practice were Troy Andersen (knee) and Justin Simmons (hamstring).
Andersen has been sidelined for the last two games following an injury in the Falcons’ win over the Saints. Nate Landman, who had been activated from injured reserve before last Sunday’s game against Carolina, also appeared on the injury report with the same calf/quad issue that initially placed him on IR. Despite this, Landman played 79% of the team’s defensive snaps last Sunday. The Falcons may be cautious with his workload as he adjusts back to full action.
Head coach Raheem Morris said the team is monitoring the progress of Andersen and Simmons ahead of Sunday’s game against the Seahawks. Simmons left last Sunday’s game due to his hamstring injury.
Lorenzo Carter, initially listed with an illness, was later reclassified as having a concussion and also did not participate in practice. On a lighter note, Bijan Robinson and Matthew Judon were limited due to rest, while Antonio Hamilton Sr. was limited with a back injury.
