Just a day later, they acquired Amari Cooper from the Cleveland Browns, giving Allen a top-tier wide receiver. Cooper, who is leaving one of the NFL’s struggling offenses, expressed excitement for a fresh start. Both he and Allen exchanged compliments when discussing the trade on Wednesday.
Allen emphasized the energy boost that comes with adding a player like Cooper, noting the offense and wide receiver group would welcome him eagerly. “It’s Amari Cooper, so we’re really excited about that,” Allen said, highlighting Cooper’s experience and the positive impact it will have on the team.
