Alabama is projected to flip 2025 three-star tight end Marshall Pritchett, who has been committed to North Carolina since March, according to On3’s Steve Wiltfong. As college football intensifies with key matchups and upsets, recruiting remains active, and Alabama looks poised to benefit from this potential flip.
Pritchett, from Rabun Gap, Georgia, is expected to join Alabama’s already highly-ranked 2025 recruiting class. His addition would only strengthen the Crimson Tide’s standing. In March, 247Sports’ Director of Scouting, Andrew Ivins, evaluated Pritchett, describing him as an athletic tight end with strong ball skills, capable of excelling as a two-level pass catcher. Originally a quarterback before switching to wide receiver, Pritchett stands over 6-foot-4 and has a projectable frame. While he has limited in-line experience, he’s a willing blocker on the perimeter and is expected to become more effective with improved strength.

Ivins noted that Pritchett’s football IQ helps him exploit zone coverage, and he’s shown competitiveness in catch-and-run situations. While he may need a developmental period to physically mature, Pritchett has the potential to make an impact at the Power Five level, especially with his receiving abilities.
