JUST IN: Alabama Flip commitment of a top talented player

As the college football season progresses with upsets and major wins, recruiting remains in full swing. According to On3, a commitment flip may soon favor Alabama. Marshall Pritchett, a three-star tight end from Rabun Gap, Georgia, who has been committed to North Carolina since March, is predicted by On3’s Steve Wiltfong to switch his commitment to the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Alabama’s 2025 recruiting class is already among the best in the country, and adding Pritchett would only strengthen their standing.

Back in March, 247Sports’ Director of Scouting, Andrew Ivins, evaluated Pritchett, noting his impressive skill set: “An athletic tight end with strong ball skills who excels as a two-level pass catcher. Pritchett started as a quarterback before transitioning to wide receiver. Though his size isn’t officially verified, he’s believed to be over 6-foot-4 with a frame that can be developed.

He demonstrates a high football IQ, capitalizing on zone coverage, and is competitive after the catch. While he has limited experience as an in-line blocker, he is a willing perimeter blocker and will likely improve with added strength. He projects as an F-tight end who can create mismatches in the slot or wing, with the potential to make a big impact at the Power Five level after some physical development.”
