Minnesota Vikings running back Aaron Jones is not expected to miss any games despite suffering a hip injury during the team’s 23-17 win over the New York Jets in London, according to NBC Sports.
Jones exited the game in the first half and was initially listed as questionable to return but ultimately did not. Vikings head coach Kevin O’Connell mentioned that Jones will undergo further evaluation in the coming days.
Minnesota (5-0) has a bye next week before facing their NFC North rival, the Detroit Lions (3-1), in Week 7.
“I’m hoping it’s a short-term issue,” O’Connell told the Minnesota Star Tribune, referring to Jones’ injury.
Before leaving the game, Jones had 29 rushing yards on seven attempts and one reception for 24 yards. He also exited Week 2’s victory over the San Francisco 49ers due to a hip issue.
