Derrick Henry is on the verge of making NFL history in the Ravens’ Week 5 game against the Bengals. After leaving the Tennessee Titans for the Baltimore Ravens, Henry continues to look like a superstar, proving he’s still a major difference-maker. At 30 years old, he leads the NFL in rushing with 480 yards through four games, showing no signs of slowing down.
In Week 4, Henry helped the Ravens to a key victory over the Buffalo Bills, rushing for 199 yards and scoring a touchdown on an 87-yard run. This marked the second time this season he’s surpassed 150 yards in a game, having previously rushed for 151 yards and two touchdowns against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 3. Henry is now the first running back since Walter Payton to post back-to-back 150+ yard games at age 30 or older, per NFL researcher Tony Holzman-Escareno.
If Henry rushes for 150 or more yards in Week 5 against the Bengals, he’ll make history as the first player over 30 to do so in three consecutive games. The Bengals’ rush defense, which ranks seventh worst in the league, gives Henry a solid opportunity to reach this milestone. Cincinnati is allowing an average of 145.5 rushing yards per game, putting Henry right on the cusp of the record.

After an 0-2 start, the Ravens have rebounded with Henry leading the charge, defeating both the Cowboys and Bills in back-to-back games, reigniting Baltimore’s Super Bowl aspirations. Henry, who spent eight seasons with the Titans and racked up over 9,500 rushing yards and 90 touchdowns, continues to build on his already stellar career.
