GOOD NEWS: Shane Beamer confirms return of 2 exceptional players back from horrible injury.

Shane Beamer delivered an encouraging update on LaNorris Sellers and Raheim Sanders, sparking excitement among Gamecock fans. During Tuesday’s press conference, Beamer addressed their recovery status following recent injuries. Quarterback LaNorris Sellers, who was injured in Week 3 against LSU, may be on track to play this week. While Beamer stopped short of confirming Sellers’ return, he shared a positive update on his ankle injury.

Beamer also gave a promising report on running back Raheim “Rocket” Sanders, stating, “LaNorris and Rocket were both out there. They looked good. Were they 100 percent? No, but they both told me they felt great and will likely do even more tomorrow.”

South Carolina quarterback LaNorris Sellers (16) runs for a touchdown against Louisiana State University during the second quarter at Williams-Brice Stadium in Columbia, S.C. Saturday, September 14, 2024.

Sellers missed most of the second half against LSU, a game that slipped away from South Carolina following his injury. He was eager to return against Akron but was held out by the coaching staff, allowing him more time to heal ahead of the bye week.

Sanders sustained a leg injury during the Akron game but has had extra time to recover. Now, both players are expected to be ready for this week’s ranked matchup against Ole Miss. With the team’s depth chart listing them as starters, fans have even more reason to be optimistic.
