BREAKING NEWS: Miami Dolphins signs 2x Super Champion Quarterback to replace top experienced star on season ending injury.

The Miami Dolphins are facing uncertainty at quarterback following their 24-3 loss to the Seattle Seahawks, with questions intensifying after Tua Tagovailoa was sidelined indefinitely due to a concussion suffered in Week Two against the Buffalo Bills. In their first game without Tagovailoa, the Dolphins struggled offensively, managing only 205 total yards. Backup QB Skylar Thompson completed 13 of 19 passes for 107 yards, while Tim Boyle went 7 of 13 for 79 yards. With Tagovailoa on injured reserve, the Dolphins signed former Pro Bowl quarterback Tyler Huntley from the Baltimore Ravens’ practice squad, though his 2022 Pro Bowl selection has left many fans puzzled given his limited starts and mediocre stats that year.

It’s clear that Miami’s current quarterback rotation of Thompson, Boyle, and Huntley doesn’t inspire confidence. With no clear timeline for Tagovailoa’s return, some believe the Dolphins should explore other options. Bleacher Report recently suggested Miami consider trading for Los Angeles Rams backup Jimmy Garoppolo, who was reinstated after a two-game suspension for using performance-enhancing drugs. Given Tagovailoa’s ongoing evaluations by concussion specialists, his return remains uncertain.

In the meantime, the Dolphins are relying on Thompson, a risky move given his inexperience. Garoppolo, with experience in a system similar to Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel’s, could be a valuable asset, even as a backup. Having won two Super Bowls as Tom Brady’s backup with the Patriots and spending six seasons with the 49ers, Garoppolo could provide much-needed stability. The cost to acquire him in a trade would likely be minimal, perhaps a late-round draft pick, and despite his inconsistent career, Garoppolo could be a more reliable option than Miami’s current quarterbacks.
