The Detroit Lions seem satisfied relying on veteran practice squad wide receiver Tim Patrick, who got his first experience with the team last week. During an NFL game at Ford Field on Sunday, September 15, 2024, Patrick was tackled while attempting to hurdle a defender, as the Lions fell to the Tampa Bay
Buccaneers 20-16. Despite still being on the practice squad, Patrick has two more opportunities for elevation to the main roster before the Lions must make a decision about his status. The Lions have other vertical threats like Allen Robinson and Donovan Peoples-Jones, but it’s been Patrick and Tom Kennedy who have been called up for game action so far.
