2026 defensive back Brayden Thomas is gearing up for another visit to Notre Dame this weekend, as he attends the Irish’s home game against Miami-Ohio. The Ohio native has grown familiar with the program over the past couple of years and is eager to experience more.
“I shared my film with Caleb (Davis), and he invited me back,” said Thomas, a 6-foot, 162-pound standout from St. Edward High School. With an earlygood-news-notre-dame-confirms-return-rising-threat-depth-player offer from Toledo, Thomas is particularly excited to observe Notre Dame’s secondary during warmups and see how they prepare for game day. “I want to see what I can incorporate into my own game to improve at the next level.”
Thomas has already been impressed by his previous visits to South Bend. “The atmosphere and fans are unlike any other college,” he remarked. “It’s truly a special place, and the people there are welcoming.”

Thomas’ connection to Notre Dame xtends through his brother, freshman defensive end Loghan Thomas. “He’s been doing well, contributing on special teams, and seems to really enjoy it there,” Thomas said.
Brayden also drew parallels between his high school season and Notre Dame’s. “We both came off big wins, only to face unexpected losses the next week. I admire how they rebounded with a strong win over Purdue and how they’ve stuck together as a team.”
While he hasn’t made any other college visits this fall or planned any upcoming ones, Thomas is looking forward to deepening his connection with Notre Dame.
