A prominent NFL analyst has linked the Las Vegas Raiders to a potential blockbuster trade involving Rams quarterback before the November deadline. Heading into the 2024 season, the Raiders’ biggest question mark was at the quarterback position. Despite efforts to draft a top prospect, they ultimately signed free-agent veteran Gardner Minshew, who has performed well in the first two games but is seen as having a limited ceiling, potentially leading the team only to a Wild Card spot.
On a recent episode of ESPN’s “NFL Live,” analyst Mina Kimes floated the idea of the Raiders trading for Stafford, as the Rams are struggling with injuries and currently sit at 0-2. Kimes suggested Stafford could thrive in Las Vegas, given the Raiders’ strong defense and star wide receiver Davante Adams. With Stafford’s four-year, $160 million contract and a potential out after the 2025 season, the trade could make sense, especially as Stafford has shown he’s still performing at a high level despite past injury concerns.
