Dodgers pitcher Tyler Glasnow is “highly unlikely” to return this season due to a sprained elbow, as confirmed by manager Dave Roberts, according to Jack Harris of The Los Angeles Times. Glasnow, 31, has been sidelined since his seven-inning performance against the Pittsburgh Pirates on August 11. After a recent setback, he has been shut down from throwing for an indefinite period.

Glasnow, who was selected as an All-Star in 2024, has dealt with injuries throughout his career. This season, he holds a 9-6 record with a 3.49 ERA and 168 strikeouts over 134 innings. He joined the Dodgers in a December trade from the Tampa Bay Rays and signed a five-year contract extension shortly after. Despite a pitching staff plagued by injuries, the Dodgers still lead the NL West by 4.5 games over the San Diego Padres.
