JUST IN: Cornerback position heavily addressed as Arizona Cardinals lands another top experienced player.

Cardinals Urged to Sign Former Eagles CB Bradley Roby

The Arizona Cardinals have been advised by Bleacher Report to consider signing free agent cornerback Bradley Roby. According to B/R’s Matt Holder, despite the team’s efforts to strengthen their cornerback position this offseason—adding three rookies through the draft and veteran Sean Murphy-Bunting—the Cardinals could still benefit from bringing in a seasoned player like Roby.

Holder highlights that the Cardinals’ young secondary could use the experience Roby brings, especially given his ability to play both nickel and on the boundary. Opposite Murphy-Bunting, the Cardinals currently have rookies like Starling Thomas, Max Melton, and Kei’Trel Clark, while Garrett Williams occupies the slot position.

At 32, Roby last played for the Philadelphia Eagles in 2023, where he appeared in nine games, recording 22 tackles and a forced fumble while allowing 20 completions on 33 targets. Over his career, Roby has also played for the New Orleans Saints, Houston Texans, and Denver Broncos, with whom he won Super Bowl 50. He has appeared in 135 NFL games.

Although the Cardinals have $30 million in cap space and a young secondary, it remains unclear if they are genuinely interested in signing Roby. If they were, some speculate the move might have already happened, but there’s still a chance they could make a decision before the NFL trade deadline in November.
