Baltimore Ravens rookie cornerback Nate Wiggins will miss Sunday’s game against the Las Vegas Raiders after being involved in a car accident. Head coach John Harbaugh announced that Wiggins, who suffered a neck injury and a concussion, won’t be available.
“He’s doing well, he’s healthy,” Harbaugh said on Friday, “but he’s not ready to play.”
Wiggins, a first-round pick out of Clemson, recorded two tackles in the Ravens’ season opener against Kansas City. Harbaugh downplayed the severity of the accident, saying, “It doesn’t seem too serious, but I’m focused on preparing the team.”
Additionally, rookie linebacker Adisa Isaac is doubtful with a hamstring injury, while veteran Kyle Van Noy is questionable with an eye injury. Van Noy, who previously criticized the Chiefs’ medical staff for a delayed response to his injury, said he is now focused on the Raiders matchup.
