SAD NEWS: Another Season ending injury from Pittsburgh Steelers top star

Pittsburgh Steelers defensive tackle Larry Ogunjobi sustained a knee injury during the team’s game against the Atlanta Falcons and was limited in practice on Wednesday. The timing of the injury is unclear, though Ogunjobi has had previous knee issues.

In Sunday’s game, he recorded two quarterback hits and four pressures, one of which led to an interception. While he remains limited in practice, the injury isn’t expected to be severe.

Ogunjobi noted this season is the first he hasn’t played through significant pain, which has improved his performance. The Steelers, who signed him to a three-year, $28.5 million contract in 2023, are hopeful that his health will help him return to the high level he displayed in Cincinnati. Should Ogunjobi be limited during the week or in games, the Steelers are likely to increase Keeanu Benton’s role, with Dean Lowry and Isaiahh Loudermilk taking on more snaps in base defense.
