Good News: Ravens Has Found Replacement Of Kyle Van Noy And Derrick Brown Following Their Disastrous Injuries

The Baltimore Ravens and Carolina Panthers might consider signing Pro Bowler Yannick Ngakoue in response to the injuries of Kyle Van Noy and Derrick Brown. According to Bleacher Report, the Ravens are encouraged to seek a replacement for Van Noy, and Ngakoue could be a familiar fit given his knowledge of their defensive scheme. With few top pass rushers available in free agency, Ngakoue appears to be a likely option, potentially on a one-year deal while Van Noy recovers from an orbital bone fracture. Alternatively, the Ravens could explore trading for someone like Haason Reddick, who is currently holding out, but that could bring complications if Reddick demands a new contract.

Ngakoue has received limited interest thus far but remains optimistic about finding a long-term role, possibly with a team like Baltimore that values a strong defense. Despite recording four sacks in 13 games last season, it’s surprising that he’s still available, but with teams like the Panthers needing immediate help, that might change soon.

The Panthers, struggling after a blowout loss to the Saints, could also use Ngakoue’s help following Derrick Brown’s season-ending injury. Brown’s absence is a significant setback for Carolina’s defense, as he was pivotal in their pass rush and led all defensive tackles with 103 tackles last season. Although Ngakoue may not match Brown’s impact, he could still provide the necessary reinforcement. Despite adding veteran Jadeveon Clowney, the Panthers’ defense, especially their secondary with Jaycee Horn, continues to struggle, suggesting a need for further changes.
