Tigers’ Top Pitching Prospect Receives Late-Season Promotion to Toledo
The Detroit Tigers have promoted their top pitching prospect, Jackson Jobe, to Triple-A Toledo for the final two weeks of the Mud Hens’ season.
Jobe, 22, was the No. 3 overall pick in the 2021 MLB Draft and has spent this season at Double-A Erie. After an impressive 2023 performance across three levels, he earned an invite to big-league spring training.

In 16 starts with the SeaWolves this year, Jobe has posted a 1.95 ERA with 81 strikeouts and 38 walks over 73 2/3 innings. Despite a slow start to his professional career, Jobe is now widely regarded as the top pitching prospect in baseball. This promotion positions him for a potential MLB debut in 2025.
