Twin Duke Basketball Recruits Attend Football Game
The Duke basketball program had some assistance in impressing the highly sought-after Boozer brothers this weekend. Cayden and Cameron Boozer, standout players from Columbus High School in Florida, were the focus of the Blue Devils as head coach Jon Scheyer and his team aim to finalize their recruitment efforts. On Friday night, the five-star twins, who are the sons of 2001 Duke basketball national champion and two-time NBA All-Star Carlos Boozer, made an appearance at Brooks Field in Wallace Wade Stadium. They arrived just before Duke football’s season opener against Elon, an in-state FCS opponent.
The Boozer twins watched the game from the front row behind the Duke football sideline, accompanied by their mother, Duke basketball coaches, and both current and former Duke basketball players. Notable alumni in attendance included Dereck Lively II, DJ Steward, Theo John, Cassius Stanley, and Mark Williams.
Cayden Boozer, a 6-foot-4, 190-pound guard ranked No. 18 overall on the 247Sports 2025 Composite, and Cameron Boozer, a 6-foot-9, 235-pound forward ranked No. 2 in the class, were in Durham for their second visit with Duke basketball since receiving an offer from Jon Scheyer in May 2022. Their previous official visit was last November, coinciding with Duke’s game against Arizona at Cameron Indoor Stadium, which inspired Cameron Boozer’s name.
