LSU tight end has transferred to Nebraska football just days before the season begins. The former national prospect, standing at 6-foot-4 and weighing 258 pounds, is from St. Louis and played in 12 games (including one start) for LSU as a true freshman last season, catching three passes for 16 yards and scoring a 3-yard touchdown against Georgia State.
Markway was on the field for 160 offensive snaps and 39 special teams plays. He joined LSU in January 2023, turning down over 20 major offers as a top-250 national prospect and composite four-star recruit. LSU’s tight end group remains strong with multiple players stepping up during camp. Nebraska’s depth chart at tight end currently lists juniors Thomas Fidone and Nate Boerkircher as the top two options, with sophomore Luke Lindenmeyer also in the mix.
