Virginia Tech Football: Son of Former Hokie Star Commits to the Team

For the second time in just three days, the Virginia Tech Hokies have secured another promising talent for their 2025 recruiting class. On Friday, four-star wide receiver Snook Peterkin made his commitment. Then, on Sunday, the Hokies received a pledge from a familiar name for long-time Virginia Tech supporters.

Three-star athlete Luke Stuewe announced his decision to join Virginia Tech. He is the son of former Hokie wide receiver Michael Stuewe, who played for the team from 1994 to 1997. The elder Stuewe was a key player, starting in 32 games and wrapping up his college career with 53 receptions, 689 yards, and five touchdowns.

Virginia Tech Football: Where Will Three-Star Athlete Luke Stuewe Commit Tomorrow?

Luke Stuewe, a 6-foot-2, 195-pound athlete from Avon Lake High School in Ohio, is versatile enough to play either wide receiver or safety at the college level. Virginia Tech extended an offer to him last summer after being impressed by his speed and athleticism. Despite missing a significant part of his junior season due to injury, which likely affected his recruitment, Luke’s commitment is not just based on his legacy.

He becomes the 17th commitment for Virginia Tech’s 2025 class. Welcome back to the Hokies, Luke!
