Good News: Los Angelus Doggers Are Set To Welcome Back A Top Talented Star

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts has confirmed the team’s plan for the return of Max Muncy and Tommy Edman from injury. The Los Angeles Dodgers, currently boasting the best record in the National League after their 7-2 victory over the Milwaukee Brewers, are expected to have both players back as soon as next Monday when they return home to face the Seattle Mariners, according to Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times.

Roberts mentioned that both Muncy and Edman are set to play seven innings in a Triple-A game, indicating their progress. Muncy, who was initially placed on the 10-day injured list on May 17 due to a Grade 1 oblique strain, saw his recovery delayed and was moved to the 60-day IL. He was first eligible to return on July 16 but wasn’t ready at that time.

Tommy Edman, on the other hand, has not played this season. After wrist surgery in the offseason and subsequent swelling, Edman faced further setbacks, including an ankle injury during rehab. The Dodgers acquired him from the Cardinals, hoping he could contribute during the stretch run. Edman may even compete for the everyday shortstop position, currently held by Miguel Rojas.
