BREAKING NEWS: Oregon State secure another top world class star transfer deal

Oregon State baseball made a significant move by securing a top transfer commitment from Washington infielder Aiva Arquette. Multiple media outlets confirmed on Wednesday that Arquette, a standout middle infielder, is set to join the Beavers in Corvallis.

OSU won a heated recruiting battle against Mississippi State for Arquette, who was regarded by Baseball America as the best available transfer this summer. In his sophomore year, Arquette posted a .322 batting average, with 12 home runs, 14 doubles, and 36 RBIs. Standing at 6-foot-4, the Kailua, Hawaii native is versatile, capable of playing both shortstop and second base. Last season, Arquette earned all-Pac-12 honors and was one of nine players selected for the all-defensive team. This summer, he played for the Chatham Anglers in the Cape Cod Baseball League, where he made the all-star team.

Future Star Series ranks Arquette as the 12th best prospect for the 2025 MLB draft. The Beavers could potentially have two first-round MLB draft picks in their infield next season, with Arquette joining third baseman Trent Caraway.

Oregon State recently made it to the Super Regional, where they were eliminated by Kentucky in a best-of-three series. The Beavers, champions of the College World Series in 2006, 2007, and 2018, will compete as an independent during the 2025 season due to the Pac-12’s dissolution.
