GOOD NEWS FOR HUSKERS: Commit Announcement Coming From Top Talented Star

Commit Announcement Coming Monday from Jeremiah Jones

Will Jeremiah Jones choose Louisville or Nebraska? Fresh off securing a commitment, the Nebraska Cornhuskers are poised to potentially add another player to their 2025 class. Murray (Ken.) High defensive athlete Jeremiah Jones is set to announce his decision on Monday afternoon.

Jones revealed on social media last week that he will be committing at 3 PM central on Monday. The decision appears to be between Louisville and Nebraska, following his official visit to Lincoln.

Reflecting on his visit, Jones said, “The Nebraska experience was amazing. Coming into Lincoln, or just hearing about it, I thought it would be all cornfields and not much else. But the city is nice and much bigger than it seems. It’s nicer than it seems. Being from Kentucky, I didn’t know much about Nebraska… but the visit was just crazy, and the people – from the players to the food – were great.”

Nebraska is excited about Jones’ versatility. At 6-foot-4 and 200 pounds, he could play the rover position or potentially grow into an outside linebacker for Tony White, who is focusing on length and multi-positional ability.

Jones has demonstrated strong defensive skills at Murray, with several takeaways in his career. His experience as a defensive back could be beneficial as he might be asked to cover tight ends or running backs, even if he transitions to linebacker.

Nebraska has targeted players like Jones before, evident from their commitment from Pierce Mooberry, a defensive back transitioning to outside linebacker as a senior at Millard North and expected to play linebacker for the Huskers.

Nebraska had success with the rover position last year, with Isaac Gifford thriving in the role.

The last two 247Sports Crystal Ball predictions have favored Nebraska landing Jones.
