Former University of Kentucky basketball coach John Calipari’s Lexington residence has been sold for approximately half a million dollars below its listed price. Records from the Fayette PVA’s database indicate that the property at 1732 Richmond Rd. was purchased for $3.4 million by Pascal and Brenda Mercurio, a married couple. The transaction was completed on June 27. Calipari and his wife, Ellen, decided to sell the house in May after John accepted a coaching position at the University of Arkansas, rendering their Kentucky residence unnecessary.
According to reports from Arkansas media, the Caliparis have acquired a new residence in a gated community at the Blessings Golf Club for $2.2 million. The new home spans 7,350 square feet, featuring five bedrooms and boasts views of the golf course, located approximately 5.5 miles from the university campus.
