UC Davis Guard and Former Oregon Prep Star Drew Carter Transfers to Oregon Ducks
Drew Carter, a former two-sport standout at Tigard High School, is returning to Oregon. After two seasons playing football at Colorado and one season of basketball at UC Davis, Carter announced his transfer to the Oregon men’s basketball program on Thursday.
Carter spent two years as a quarterback at Colorado before focusing on basketball during the 2023-24 season with the Aggies. According to his Instagram post, Carter will now concentrate solely on basketball at Oregon. The 6-foot-3, 200-pound guard played limited minutes at UC Davis, appearing in nine games and averaging 1.2 points per game.
In high school, Carter was a three-star quarterback, ranked as the No. 5 player in Oregon and the No. 28 dual-threat quarterback nationally by 247Sports. On the basketball court, he averaged 25 points per game as a junior and was also rated the No. 5 player in Oregon. His senior sports season was canceled in 2020 due to COVID-19.
