Nebraska Football: Huskers Secure Transfer Commit from Former USC Cornerback
Nebraska football, under Matt Rhule, has added another player to its roster with the commitment of former USC cornerback Ceyair Wright. Wright, a former four-star recruit, started 11 games for USC in 2022 but left the team during the 2023 season before officially entering the transfer portal in April 2024.
Wright, who will join Nebraska as a graduate transfer, has two seasons of eligibility remaining. Rhule has emphasized prioritizing his current roster and only taking transfers who can make an immediate impact, rather than those needing extensive development.
There seems to be a connection between Wright and Nebraska’s Evan Cooper, as Nebraska was the only school mentioned in relation to Wright’s recruitment. The hope is that Wright will quickly become an impactful player for the Huskers.
