Nebraska Football: Huskers Land Transfer from Former USC Cornerback
Matt Rhule continues to bolster Nebraska’s football roster, this time securing a former four-star recruit, Ceyair Wright, who started 11 games for USC in 2022. In 2023, Ceyair left the USC team during the season and officially entered the transfer portal in April 2024.
Wright will join Nebraska with two seasons of eligibility remaining as a graduate transfer.
Rhule has consistently stated his preference for evaluating his own roster first and only taking transfers who can make an immediate impact. He seems less interested in transfers needing significant development.
It appears there was a strong connection between Ceyair Wright and Evan Cooper, as Nebraska was the sole team mentioned in relation to Wright’s interest and recruitment.
Here’s to hoping Wright becomes an immediate impact player for the Huskers.
