USC Football Adds Preferred Walk-On 2024 Wide Receiver Brady Jung
USC football has strengthened its wide receiver corps with the addition of 2024 Atherton (Calif.) receiver Brady Jung, who committed to the Trojans on Thursday as a preferred walk-on. Jung, standing 6 feet tall and weighing 170 pounds, will join the program this summer.
Background and Performance
Jung is not ranked in the 247Sports or 247Sports Composite rankings. Earlier this month, he had committed to Division II Amherst College, where his older brother plays. He also drew interest from Wesleyan University and Carleton College. During his senior season, Jung recorded 48 receptions for 861 yards and six touchdowns, including a standout game with eight receptions for 197 yards and two touchdowns.
Additions to USC’s Roster
Jung is one of four wide receivers USC will add this summer, alongside transfer portal additions Jay Fair (Auburn), Kyle Ford (UCLA), and Charles Ross (San Jose State). The Trojans only signed one high school receiver in the 2024 class, resulting in a shortage of wideouts for spring camp, with only seven scholarship players available.
Roster and Rankings
USC had three preferred walk-on receivers listed on their roster during spring camp. The Trojans’ 2024 recruiting class finished ranked No. 20 in the nation. USC will kick off the 2024 season against LSU.
