USC Trojans Lose Another Five-Star Recruit, DL Justus Terry Decommits
Less than 24 hours after five-star EDGE Isaiah Gibson announced his decommitment from USC, five-star defensive lineman Justus Terry has followed suit. Terry had been committed to the Trojans since an unofficial visit in March, despite having longstanding ties to Georgia. He has visited Georgia seven times, including an official visit on May 31, and was slated to visit USC officially this weekend on the 21st.
Standing at 6-foot-4.5 and 275 pounds, Terry is ranked as the number two defensive lineman in the 2025 class. The top-ranked DL, Elijah Griffin, also from Georgia, is scheduled to visit USC this weekend as well.
While not entirely unexpected, Terry’s decommitment is a significant setback for the Trojans. This development has caused USC’s 2025 recruiting class ranking to drop from 3rd to 11th.

Despite this, there remains ample time and opportunity for USC to rebound on the recruiting trail before signing day in December. As evidenced by the rapid changes in a mere 12-hour span, the narrative can shift quickly with a few new commitments, especially with another major recruiting weekend approaching.
