Oregon secures four-star OT over Florida State, Florida, and Miami

Ziyare Addison, a four-star offensive tackle from Riverview, Florida, had a high likelihood of staying in his home state. Florida State Seminoles, Miami Hurricanes, and Florida Gators were all strong contenders for his commitment.

However, Addison decided to head northwest, announcing on Monday morning that he would be joining Dan Lanning and the Oregon Ducks. Other schools in the mix included Penn State, Georgia, and UCLA. So, what does this mean for Oregon?

The Ducks are gaining a large, athletic offensive line prospect with impressive recruiting stats. According to 247Sports, Addison is ranked as the No. 14 offensive tackle in the 2025 class.

Addison’s standout athleticism is noteworthy. In addition to football, he wrestles and runs track in high school, suggesting he will offer positional versatility for the Ducks. “Should be viewed as a potential multi-year starter at the Power Four level that can play multiple spots up front depending on how the body matures,” Andrew Irvins wrote in his 247Sports scouting report on Addison.

Lanning and his staff’s success in recruiting Addison out of Florida marks a significant win for the Ducks.
