Georgia Tech Transfer and Auburn Commit Miles Kelly Withdraws from NBA Draft
After committing to Auburn on Sunday, Georgia Tech transfer Miles Kelly has officially withdrawn from the 2024 NBA Draft, as announced in a league press release. This expected decision indicates that Kelly is set to join Auburn, although he has yet to sign with the team as of Thursday evening. Kelly is among 93 players who chose to withdraw and return to college before Wednesday’s deadline to retain eligibility.
Kelly, who led Georgia Tech in scoring last season with nearly 14 points per game, is considered the final piece of Auburn’s 2024-25 roster, which has now addressed all five key departures. Auburn had been searching for additional guard depth, and Kelly emerged as the solution. Once he signs, Kelly will complete the 2024-25 team as the only remaining unsigned addition.
Auburn plans to start Furman transfer JP Pegues at point guard and returning guard Denver Jones at shooting guard, with Kelly and incoming freshman Tahaad Pettiford as the primary guard options off the bench
