Longhorns Icon Reacts to Quinn Ewers’ Appearance on EA Sports College Football 25 Cover
As opinions flood in about the newly unveiled cover of EA Sports’ College Football 25, Texas Longhorns legend Vince Young has shared his thoughts on the game’s cover.
Young, who starred in one of college football’s most iconic games when his No. 2 ranked Longhorns defeated Matt Leinart and Reggie Bush’s No. 1 ranked USC Trojans 41-38 in the 2006 Rose Bowl, weighed in on the cover featuring current Longhorns quarterback Quinn Ewers. The cover also showcases Colorado Buffaloes’ wide receiver/cornerback Travis Hunter and Michigan Wolverines’ running back Donovan Edwards.
“Look at my guy @QuinnEwers repping the Horns on the cover of EA Sports College Football 25,” Young commented on X. EA Sports has also announced that both the standard and deluxe versions of the game will be released on July 19.
Although Young never graced the cover of any EA Sports College Football games, he did feature on the cover of Madden ’08, appearing in his Tennessee Titans uniform after winning the NFL’s Offensive Rookie of the Year Award in 2006.
Young’s endorsement of Ewers’ cover appearance is likely to energize Longhorns fans, as the team, under head coach Steve Sarkisian, aims to return to the national prominence it enjoyed during Young’s era.
