Breaking: Georgia Coach is sacked as Management search for Replacement

Josh Brewer, after 12 seasons at the helm of Georgia’s women’s golf program, is no longer the head coach of the Bulldogs. The announcement, made by Georgia’s director of athletics, Josh Brooks, signifies a shift in leadership. Brooks expressed gratitude for Brewer’s tenure but stated the decision was made to move the program in a new direction.

Brewer’s time saw Georgia qualify for NCAA regionals 10 times and reach the NCAA Championship four times, including a notable appearance in match play in 2022. Under Brewer’s guidance, the Bulldogs claimed 16 tournament victories, including three NCAA regional titles.

Despite these achievements, the Bulldogs’ recent sixth-place finish at the NCAA Auburn Regional prompted the change. Georgia has initiated an immediate search for Brewer’s successor.
