The Florida Gators secured their fourth commitment for the Class of 2025 on Thursday, as a local prospect announced his commitment to the team.
Jeramiah McCloud, a defensive lineman from Havana, FL, and Gadsden County, committed to the Gators after recently departing from Mississippi State’s recruitment class.
Expressing his decision on Twitter, McCloud stated, “I’m home, Gator Nation.”
McCloud had initially committed to the Bulldogs but was swayed by the Gators’ offer this winter. He subsequently made multiple visits to Gainesville, solidifying his decision.
Defensive line coach Gerald Chatman further reinforced the Gators’ interest by attending one of McCloud’s practices, observing the lineman’s skills firsthand.
With McCloud’s commitment, the Gators now boast him and Jalen Wiggins as defensive line commitments for the Class of 2025.
The Gators aim to strengthen their defensive line in this recruiting cycle, with plans to add several more players to the position. Chatman’s efforts have positioned the Gators favorably with numerous top prospects.
McCloud joins Wiggins, along with receiver Josiah Abdullah and running back Waltez Clark, as members of the Class of 2025 committed to the Gators.
