AC Milan is eyeing Real Madrid’s midfielder Dani Ceballos, who has struggled to secure a spot in the starting lineup following the arrival of Jude Bellingham. Ceballos, who was a standout performer in the 2021/22 and 2022/23 seasons, has seen his opportunities diminish under Carlo Ancelotti.
Rival clubs, including Atletico Madrid, are interested in acquiring the talented Spaniard. AC Milan is reportedly keen on securing Ceballos on a loan deal with an option to buy, similar to their pursuit of Brahim Diaz.
While Real Madrid opted to loan out Brahim Diaz for two years, Ceballos could potentially make a permanent move to Milan after a successful loan spell. His attributes, including ball-winning abilities, technical prowess, dribbling skills, and playmaking ability, make him a suitable fit for Serie A.
Ceballos’ style of play, characterized by agility, competitiveness, and risk-taking, aligns well with the demands of Italian football. Milan could benefit from his all-around quality and passion in midfield, with Ceballos offering an economical solution for RedBird Capital to strengthen their squad in 2024.
A loan deal for Ceballos presents minimal risk for Milan, providing them with the opportunity to assess his performance and impact before considering a permanent transfer.
