Allegedly, an altercation involving a man believed to be one of Nikola Jokic’s brothers occurred following the Denver Nuggets’ victory over the Los Angeles Lakers. The NBA and Denver police are currently investigating the incident, which reportedly involved the man punching a fan after the Nuggets secured a narrow 101-99 win in the NBA playoffs.
Footage from various sources, including TMZ, captured the man climbing over seats to approach an individual at Ball Arena before striking them in the face. According to TMZ, the altercation took place on Monday night following the Nuggets’ remarkable comeback from a 20-point deficit to seize a 2-0 lead in the first-round series. The NBA spokesperson confirmed on Tuesday that the league is actively looking into the matter.
In response to inquiries, the Denver police media relations unit indicated via email to The Associated Press that they are conducting an investigation. However, as of yet, no one has reported being a victim of the incident either at the arena or following the game.
“The Department is working to identify the individual depicted in the video who was struck and encourages anyone involved or who witnessed the incident to reach out to the Denver Police Department,” the email stated.
