Milan is actively pursuing the signing of Joshua Zirkzee from Bologna and intensifying their efforts to secure the Dutch player for the upcoming summer transfer window.
Zirkzee has attracted interest from various clubs in England and Italy, including Bayern Munich, who retain a buyback option for him. However, Milan appears poised to part ways with Olivier Giroud in the summer, with Zirkzee emerging as their preferred replacement for the French striker.
According to Antonio Vitiello, Giroud has reached a final agreement with MLS side LAFC and will join them at the conclusion of the current season. Zirkzee is currently the frontrunner to fill Giroud’s shoes, following Giroud’s significant contributions to Milan’s Serie A title win in 2022.
Milan is actively pursuing Zirkzee’s acquisition for the summer and is exploring potential financial arrangements with Bologna in the coming days. While facing competition from English clubs, Milan is eager to finalize a deal at the earliest opportunity.
