Official: Calabria has been handed a two-game suspension following his red card in the Milan derby, while Theo Hernandez and Denzel Dumfries will sit out just one match each. The Serie A sports judge announced the decisions after Round 33 concluded.
Calabria, Milan’s captain, was dismissed in the 95th minute of the derby for striking Davide Frattesi in the face, resulting in his two-match ban. Conversely, Hernandez and Dumfries, who also saw straight red cards in the 93rd minute, will serve a one-game suspension each. The judge noted that both players were guilty of grabbing their opponents by the neck, leading to their dismissals. Additionally, both Hernandez and Dumfries were fined €10,000 each.
Fikayo Tomori, another Milan defender, will also miss the upcoming Serie A fixture against Juventus due to accumulating his fifth yellow card of the season.
Other players suspended for Serie A Round 34 include Antonio Candreva (Salernitana), Armand Lauriente (Sassuolo), Karol Linetty (Torino), Diego Llorente, Leandro Paredes (Roma), and Zito Luvumbo (Cagliari).
