The Florida Gators successfully hosted one of the top defensive linemen in the 2025 class, Kevin Wynn, for his inaugural visit to campus. Although Florida had extended an offer to Wynn previously, this marked his first opportunity to experience the university in person. During his visit, the Gators’ staff meticulously organized a schedule to showcase the various aspects of campus life and facilities. Wynn expressed his positive impressions, noting the modern amenities and the warm reception from everyone he encountered.
Florida’s defensive line coach, Gerald Chatman, has been actively pursuing Wynn since joining the UF staff. While conversations had been ongoing, the face-to-face meeting provided a unique opportunity for deeper engagement.
Similarly, the Florida Gators have quietly maintained interest in four-star running back Alvin Henderson from Elba, Alabama. Despite not being prominently featured in his recruitment discussions, Florida has been keen on Henderson since extending an offer last June. After concerted efforts to bring him to campus, Henderson finally visited UF for the first time. Although other schools like Auburn, Florida State, Miami, and Penn State have been more frequently mentioned in his recruitment, Henderson acknowledged that a commitment could be on the horizon. Florida aimed to make a lasting impression during his visit, which Henderson described as an enlightening experience, highlighting the immediate rapport he felt with the staff.
