Arsenal and Saudi Arabian clubs have shown interest in acquiring Ismael Bennacer, the talented midfielder from AC Milan. Despite being under contract until June 2027, reports suggest that Milan might be willing to part ways with him for around €50 million. Bennacer was brought to Milan from Empoli in the summer of 2019 for €17.2 million, and he has recently returned to action after recovering from a six-month absence due to a torn anterior cruciate ligament. This season, he has made 15 appearances across all competitions and contributed one assist.
While the Saudi Pro League has expressed interest in Bennacer, it seems Arsenal is the frontrunner. This potential move would mark a return to Arsenal for Bennacer, who was previously with the club from 2015 to 2017 before being sold to Empoli for €1 million in the summer of 2017.
Despite Bennacer’s possible departure, Milan still boasts several midfield options, including Yacine Adli, Tijjani Reijnders, and Yunus Musah, with Tommaso Pobega also returning to training recently.
