The Buffalo Bills have appointed Pete Guelli as their Chief Operating Officer, marking his return to the organization after a successful five-year tenure with the New York Giants and notable achievements in partnership with Michael Jordan in rebranding the Charlotte Hornets. Guelli, a native of Rochester, NY, previously spent over a decade with the Bills, rising to the position of Executive Vice President. His return comes amid a period of instability in the Bills’ front office, with the COO position changing hands multiple times in the past year.

Guelli’s immediate focus will be on overseeing the construction of the Bills’ new stadium and navigating the sale of personal seat licenses (PSLs). Additionally, he will split his time between the Bills and the Buffalo Sabres, focusing on rebuilding the Sabres’ season-ticket base and contributing to renovations at Key Bank Center.

Guelli’s experience in both the NFL and NBA, where he played a key role in revitalizing the Charlotte Hornets, positions him well for the challenges ahead in Buffalo.
