Charlton Athletic has officially announced the signing of winger Kazenga LuaLua, who joins the club as a free agent on a contract lasting until the end of April.
This acquisition marks the second addition made by manager Nathan Jones since assuming his role at the beginning of the previous month, following the signing of former Charlton striker Connor Wickham on a short-term deal.
LuaLua has previously collaborated with Jones during their time together at Brighton and Luton Town, further solidifying their working relationship.
Confirming the deal during his press conference ahead of the upcoming match against Fleetwood Town, the Welsh manager expressed his satisfaction with LuaLua’s arrival.
Speaking to Charlton’s official website, LuaLua expressed his excitement about reuniting with Jones, emphasizing their positive working history at previous clubs. He expressed eagerness to contribute to the team and don the Charlton shirt once again.
As part of the announcement, it was revealed that LuaLua will wear the number 49 shirt for Charlton Athletic.
