A four-star prospect from Georgia sheds light on his recruitment plans and Miami’s pursuit of him. The Hurricanes are actively targeting the Peach State for their next standout defensive player, with Herbert Scroggins III, a versatile defensive end/outside linebacker, among their top interests.
Hailing from Savannah’s Benedictine Military School, the 6-foot-3, 233-pound Scroggins III discussed his recruitment progress, upcoming visits, and notable contenders in his recruitment.
“Given the rapid increase in interest and offers since January, I haven’t had the chance to make visits yet,” stated Scroggins III.
Among the schools showing significant interest in the Peach State standout are Tennessee, Miami, Georgia Tech, North Carolina, South Florida, Auburn, West Virginia, and others.
While Miami faces tough competition for Scroggins III’s commitment, they’ve secured a visit from the four-star prospect this summer.
“I’ll be heading to North Carolina from June 7th to 9th and visiting Miami for an official visit on June 21st,” he confirmed.
In addition to these visits, Scroggins III plans to visit Georgia Tech on May 30 and is arranging an official visit to West Virginia.
Regarding standout schools in his recruitment, Scroggins III mentioned Auburn, Georgia Tech, Miami, North Carolina, Tennessee, and West Virginia.
Miami’s Coach Jason Taylor, renowned for his recruiting prowess, is spearheading Scroggins III’s recruitment, presenting the Hurricanes with an opportunity to impress him during his visit to South Beach in June.
