An NFL insider suggests that the Baltimore Ravens, who secured the AFC’s top seed this season, should target Josh Jacobs in free agency. Jacobs, a standout running back, is among the premier options available.
In his last season with the Las Vegas Raiders, Jacobs amassed 805 rushing yards and six touchdowns, with an average of 3.5 yards per carry. He also contributed 296 receiving yards on 37 catches. The Ravens, in contrast, have lacked a standout running back for quite some time, with Ray Rice being the last notable player over a decade ago.
NFL analyst Jason La Confora, hailing from Baltimore, believes the Ravens should pursue Jacobs, emphasizing his consistent productivity despite not playing alongside top-tier quarterbacks or offensive lines. La Confora highlights the Ravens’ potential to maximize Jacobs’ talents, especially with their formidable tight end duo and the dynamic Lamar Jackson at quarterback.
Jacobs’ previous success, including winning the rushing title in 2019, suggests he could thrive in Baltimore’s system, particularly with Jackson’s dual-threat capabilities. With an elite offensive line, Jacobs could easily surpass 1,000 rushing yards next season, providing a complementary force to Jackson’s MVP-caliber play.
