Russell Wilson’s future with the Broncos is uncertain, with reports indicating that he’s considering selling his $25 million mansion in Denver, Colorado. The quarterback, formerly of the Seahawks, and his wife Ciara, a singer-songwriter, are reportedly entertaining offers and conducting tours of their Cherry Hills Village residence. They acquired the expansive 20,000 square foot property shortly after Wilson’s high-profile trade to the Broncos from the Seahawks.
However, Wilson’s time with the Broncos has been underwhelming, marked by the team’s lowest-scoring season in the NFL in 2023. Tensions between Wilson and head coach Sean Payton escalated, leading to Wilson being benched for the last two games of the season. This move was largely interpreted as a precautionary measure to avoid risking injury, as NFL teams cannot release injured players.
Speculation about Wilson’s future in Denver has intensified, especially considering that if he remains on the Broncos roster beyond March 17, his $37 million salary for 2025 becomes guaranteed. These developments have fueled rumors that the Broncos may be considering parting ways with their franchise quarterback.
Despite these rumors, Wilson refuted claims about selling his Denver home during an appearance on the sports podcast “I Am Athlete.” On another front, his waterfront mansion in Bellevue, Washington, has been on the market for nearly two years, with its price dropping from $36 million to $26 million. This Mediterranean-style estate, situated on Lake Washington, was initially purchased by Wilson from former Microsoft manager Harish Naidu in 2015.
However, it’s worth noting that the Wilsons also own a residence in San Diego, which features its own private football field. This property has been used by Wilson for offseason workouts with his Seahawks teammates, indicating that despite the uncertainty surrounding his football career, the Wilsons have multiple housing options available to them.
