Nikola Jokic contributed with 24 points, 13 rebounds, and nine assists, falling just short of another triple-double. Although the Nuggets initially built a comfortable lead, they faced a challenge as the Lakers rallied in the second half, erasing a 15-point deficit and even tying the game late in the fourth quarter. However, Denver displayed resilience, going on a decisive 10-2 run to secure the victory.

Nuggets head coach Michael Malone praised his team’s composure and execution down the stretch, emphasizing their defensive intensity and rebounding efforts. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope’s absence due to hamstring tightness prompted Justin Holiday to start, but he struggled, scoring only two points in 22 minutes before fouling out early in the fourth quarter.

With this win, the Nuggets join the Minnesota Timberwolves in a tie for first place in the Western Conference standings, underscoring their strong performance in the league.
