Update on Zach LaVine’s Foot Raises Concerns for the Chicago Bulls The Chicago Bulls have provided an update on Zach LaVine’s foot condition, and unfortunately, it’s not positive. LaVine’s absence from the lineup may be prolonged as he is set to be re-evaluated at the end of the week, with the team hoping for a clearer timetable on his potential return. Bulls coach Billy Donovan, however, remains cautious about specifying a timeline due to the seriousness of LaVine’s recurring foot issue.

Foot Troubles The sprain LaVine sustained in a game against the Toronto Raptors has affected his right foot, the same foot that caused him to miss 17 games in December and early January. Donovan mentioned that while the ankle is recovering well, the focus now is on addressing the discomfort in LaVine’s foot.

“I don’t want to put a timetable on it,” Donovan commented before the game against the Charlotte Hornets. “The issue is it’s the ankle and the foot. I think the ankle has healed up pretty well. I think he’s still dealing with some foot discomfort. That’s the concerning part.”

Potential Relief With the Bulls facing a shortage of healthy forwards, given Dalen Terry’s expected absence due to a sprained ankle suffered in a game against the Raptors, there is hope for reinforcements. Donovan disclosed that Torrey Craig might make a return to the Bulls lineup over the weekend, provided there are no setbacks between now and then.

Craig has been sidelined since December due to plantar fasciitis in his right foot. Donovan expressed optimism, saying, “Our hope is somewhere in those four days of being able to practice, we’ll have a good pulse, but he’s certainly very close, I would say that.”
