The Houston Texans have secured the services of former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Steven Sims, who brings versatility as both a dynamic wideout and special teams contributor. This acquisition comes as the Texans gear up for their Divisional round clash with the Baltimore Ravens. Sims, who spent two years with the Steelers, notably serving as their kick/punt returner in 2021 and 2022, has now been added to the active roster. In his 13 games, he showcased his special teams prowess by returning 19 punts for 105 yards and 17 kicks for 434 yards.
As the Texans approach their playoff matchup against the Ravens, they face the challenge of compensating for the loss of wide receiver Noah Brown, who was sidelined during their Wild Card round victory over the Cleveland Browns. To address this, Houston plans to incorporate multiple wideouts into their lineup, with Steven Sims being a notable addition.
